Under Creating a network of information linking scientific, academic and specialized libraries, including the modernization of project framework Information Scientific Center has been established in the STI Center area.
Project provided electronic information resources (EIZ) for Slovak National Library in Martin (hereafter referred to as SNL) and its partner libraries, including State Scientific Library in Košice. EIZ will serve all registered users, mainly Slovak businessmen or future businessmen.
Accessing the databases is possible through NAVIGA system.
Partner libraries users intending to utilize EIZ in the project framework have to become SNL users as a new type of user, without a necessity of visiting SNL. Such user is required to be registered in one of the partner libraries, according to this he will be authorized to remote access to databases.
All EIZ users are required to sign EIZ terms of licensed use  in SNL or partner library, which has to be archived.
Informations for SSL Košice users interested in remote access to EIZ
- User registration at http://eiz.snk.sk
- Visiting STI Center, signing the contract with SNL.
- After contract signing EIZ access is granted within 48 hours, access informations are sent to user through e-mail by SNL.
- Remote access (access from any computer) allows user to:
- register the account for access to licensed external resources
- login to his account and add or change his stats
- search, sort and view external information sources list according to its authorizations
- use received data exclusively for educational and scientific purposes - personal use only
It's forbidden:
- to download systematically whole EIZ or its essential parts and to copy the whole issues of periodicals
- to use received informations for commercial purposes or to copy, distribute or other way transfer them to third parties
