The British Centre at the State Scientific Library in Košice has been established in cooperation with the British Council in Slovakia.

Aim of the British Centre is:

• provide general information about activities of the British Council in Slovakia
• consultancy in preparation for language exams
• conduct discussions, lectures, reading groups etc.

Membership in the British Centre is conditioned on the membership of the State Scientific Library in Košice and the same conditions and rules apply for it. To obtain a membership card you need to:

• complete an application form of SSL
• submit your ID card (students also students card, foreigners a passport or an official permission (residency card)
• pay a membership fee (currently it is 3,63 € / year)
• submit photo 35 x 45 mm
