InfoUSA Centrum Košice is one of studying rooms of the State Scientific Library in Košice (SSL) and at the same time a cultural and informational center of the United States of America. It is the first InfoUSA center opened in Slovakia. The center has been established in cooperation with the Public Affairs section of the United States Embassy in Bratislava.

Its mission is to provide accurate and up-to-date information about cultural, educational and economic life in the United States and serve as cultural and informational center and focal point for Slovak-American programs in region of eastern Slovakia. InfoUSA Košice is one of three centers that take part in InfoUSA Slovakia - American Cornersprogram administered by the U.S. Embassy in the Slovak Republic.

Membership of InfoUSA Košice is contingent on the membership of the State Scientific Library and the same rules and conditions apply for it. To obtain a membership card you need :

• fill in an application form of the SSL
• submit an ID - students also student card, foreigners a passport and an official permission (residency card)
• pay a membership fee (currently it is 6,63 € / year )
• submit photo 35x45 mm
